ROCKPORT, TX, … Edison Golf, a company dedicated to revolutionizing wedge performance for recreational golfers, announces that the new EDISON 2.0 wedges have received rave reviews from member testers on popular forums including The Hackers Paradise and GolfWRX.
“At Edison Golf, we pride ourselves in conducting thorough robotic and live golfer testing,” said Terry Koehler, Chairman and Director of Innovation at Edison Golf. “We really enjoy it when forum members are able to test our wedges as they provide such detailed and honest comments. It’s always a learning experience and we appreciate the feedback.”
Edison recently had the opportunity to have forum members from both GolfWRX and The Hackers Paradise (THP) test the new EDISON 2.0 wedges and here is what they are saying:

“My 54 and 59 are fantastic. The Koehler Sole works great in all conditions and is especially helpful in deeper lies around the green. They are firmly in the bag!”
THP forum member @das0
“I have been pleasantly surprised based on my results. The forgiveness for off center hits is apparent, the Koehler Sole is versatile for all lies, and why these wedges are my current gamers. These are wedges that look good, feel great, and perform even better.”

“The Edison 2.0 wedges have been a very consistent club in the bag for me. I’ve hit more greens and my proximity to the hole has improved since switching to the 2.0’s. The Koehler Sole has also proved to be very versatile in a variety of conditions. Overall, a wedge that deserves more attention!”

I like the wedges and they’re firmly in the bag. I do think there are appreciable differences in forgiveness, spin, and the sole compared to other wedges I’ve gamed. As with most wedges, you get out what you put in. Now with the EDISON 2.0 wedges, the design does give you a bit more leeway so those days when the swing isn’t great the built-in forgiveness certainly helps.

Honestly, I don’t see these wedges going anywhere. They check a lot of the boxes for me on playability and feel. Look wise I do tend to go with raw but I’m coming around on the satin and the leading edge, while rounder than I typically like, it actually performs better for me. Couldn’t be happier to put these in the bag.

These feel so good! Contact with the ball is a consistent, heavy “thud” and something I have never felt with any other wedge ever.
The EDISON 2.0 wedges represent a quantum leap in wedge design, as they are the only wedges on the market specifically designed around a multi-year study of the way recreational golfers hit their wedges, as opposed to being designed for the extraordinary skills of elite tour players. They have the most efficient distribution of clubhead mass in the category to deliver better distance consistency, more forgiveness and improved spin.
Introduced in 2020, the original Edison Forged wedges significantly improved wedge performance by dramatically changing the way mass was distributed across the back of the clubhead. In the EDISON 2.0 line of wedges, an additional 14-17 grams have been positioned even higher in the clubhead, achieved by creation of a multi-level back design that optimizes smash factor across the face. This repositioning also creates a fresh and distinctive visual appeal to the product.
In addition to enhanced weighting technologies, the EDISON 2.0 wedges feature an improved version of the renowned and proven “Koehler Sole”. Patented by Koehler over 30 years ago, this unique sole design combines both a high and low bounce into each wedge and has been proven by thousands of golfers to deliver an unmatched level of sole versatility to handle different lies and different swing paths.
“One common theme we heard from testers was that the website pictures do not do them justice,” added Koehler. “Clubs can sometimes be difficult to photograph, and I’m pleased that all the testers liked the look of the wedges so much better than they thought they would.”
All EDISON 2.0 wedges are backed by the Company’s 100% Risk Free Trial. The Edison craftsmen will build you any EDISON 2.0 wedge and let you put it to the test on your course, hitting the variety of shots you face every round. If for any reason it’s not the best wedge you’ve ever played, Edison Golf will buy it back.
